Hurricane Ida strengthened slightly on Sunday evening, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said, reporting that the Category 2 storm is now packing maximum sustained winds of 105 mph. Ida is expected to weaken slightly Monday, before making landfall, either late Monday or early Tuesday, along the eastern portion of the U.S. Gulf Coast.
